Opera Program -
                  For Singers                      

Included in the Opera Program are:
  • Voice Lessons & Regular Coaching / Role Preparation:  At least four, private one-hour lessons weekly with faculty geared toward specific application to learning new music and assigned operatic roles. 
  •  Work your new roles and repertoire in private and coached sessions with first-rate répétiteurs who have special linguistic and stylistic competencies multiple times weekly.
  • Recitativo Intensives: The art of the Italian recitativo is one of the biggest challenges for a non-native speaker to master.  This will be a primary focus in our group masterclases. 
  • Dramatic Coachings & Scene Staging: Rehearsals geared toward the final performance, addressing personal needs as well as important tools of role development. 
  • Conductor Coaching: One-hour lessons with a conductor to learn how to meld personal interpretation and preparation with the realities of performance with orchestra.
  • Legacy Masterclass: We are in the process of contracting with guest faculty whose careers have already written them into opera history as great and role-defining players in the world of opera.  These Masterclasses will be open to the public and formal events.

            11:45 - 1:30  Voice Lessons & Coachings
            1:00 - 4:00    Lunch Hour/Study & Practice/Riposo/Optional Italian Conversation roundtable (45 minutes)
            4:00 - 5:00   More one-on-one lessons and rehearsals with collaborative pianists
            6:00 - 7:30    Group Theater and Masterclasses, Staging
            7:45  - 8:45   Group Dinner 
            9:00 - 10:00   Staging
Opera Roles MUST be completely memorized before the beginning of the program.
Price per person - double room occupancy, $4,900
Single rooms may be available on request depending on availability; if available, there will be a supplemental charge.
